



The Puksta Scholar Program is a college scholarship program funded by the Puksta Educational Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit, educational foundation started as the last will and testament of Harry and Eva Puksta. The foundation's mission is to provide financial resources to upstanding, civic and socially minded Colorado students attending college in the state of Colorado.
Students are eligible to apply for a Puksta Scholarship if they meet the following minimum criteria:
Applying to specific Colorado University: Applicants must be applying to one of the following Colorado Universities: University of Colorado at Boulder (CU Boulder), Colorado State University (CSU) or Denver University (DU).
All qualified students are encouraged to apply, regardless of gender, creed, or ethnic origin. Relatives of Board members or employees of the Puksta Foundation are not eligible.
Applications are distributed by each participating university. See the How to Apply section for more details.
The number of Puksta Scholars will vary dependent upon the annual gifts made each year from the Foundation. For the 2008-2009 school year, the Foundation is awarding 42 scholarship: 18 at CU, 12 at CSU and 12 at DU.
Scholarships are generally awarded in the Spring for the upcoming Fall semester. Please refer to each universities policies and procedure for scholarship administration.
Currently, the Puksta Educational Foundation awards scholarship monies to the following institutions:

Colorado State University, Fort Collins
Denver University
